The Opticon H-29 is a mobile computer running on the Android 6.0.1 operating system and designed for intensive data collection in warehouses, retail, and logistics environments. The device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 A53 octa-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal eMMC memory, which can be expanded with a MicroSD card. There is also a SIM card slot for mobile connectivity.
The 4.3-inch TFT LCD WVGA touchscreen ensures comfortable operation of Android applications and good readability in various lighting conditions. The alphanumeric keyboard allows for quick entry of data, codes, and text, making the device suitable for both intensive scanning and rapid data entry.
The integrated 1D/2D barcode reader uses a CMOS area sensor (640 x 480 pixels, black and white) and can operate at speeds of up to 100 frames per second. This allows it to reliably scan both traditional linear and two-dimensional (2D) codes from labels, packages, or screens. This combination is suitable for inventory, receiving/issuing, and other process control tasks.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC, GPS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS (3G), and LTE (4G), allowing the device to operate on both local wireless networks and mobile networks. A USB interface can also be used for data exchange. This provides flexibility when installing the device in different IT infrastructures.
The Opticon H-29 has an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and night mode, allowing you to capture images of goods, documents, or the condition of an object. The IP65 protection class and resistance to falls from 1.5 m onto concrete allow the device to be used in more challenging industrial conditions. An operating temperature range of -20 to +50 °C and 10–90% (non-condensing) humidity ensure reliable operation in a variety of environments.
